Abstract
In allusion to the frost heaving and thaw collapse disasters of the Mohe–Daqing Oil Pipeline in the permafrost area, total station surveyingbasedpipeline displacement monitoring technology is proposed. Pipeline displacement monitoring principle is detailed, and structure ofrecovery pegs and monument and 3 measures are taken to guarantee stability of the recovery pegs. Nine high-risk areas are selected and 62pipeline displacement monitoring devices are installed from Mohe Initial Station to Jiagedaqi Pump Station in Mohe–Daqing Oil Pipeline.Initial data were acquired before the pipeline being put into operation in November 9, 2010 and data were acquired 5 times from December2010 to June 2011. It can be found through analysis of monitoring data that the pipeline in the monitoring section is not subject to frostheaving but part of the pipeline in the monitoring section is subject to thaw collapse disasters. The feasibility and effectiveness of thetechnology have been verified by application practices.
