Installation quality controls for process equipment of large-scope compressor station

Combined with the installation practice of compressors in West-to-East Gas Pipeline, starting from the quality control of process equipment area, the key points and difficultiesin construction of large-scope compressor stations are analyzed, including manifold line-up and welding, and quality control in separator area and quality control of 30° elbow line-up. This paper mainly presents the requirements and methods in cutting of straight sections of manifold and pre-heating/contraction of manifold seams, manifold cleaning, separator alignment and leveling, providing valuable experience to the construction of large-scope compressor station.
