The application of DCVG+CIPS technology in long-distance treated oil pipeline

  • There is no medium caused internal corrosion in long-distance treated oil pipeline, the external anti-corrosion coating and cathodic protection state are key factors for long-term stable running pipeline. In this paper, testing and evaluation on integrity of external anti-corrosion coating for the Dongying-Huangdao Oil Pipeline are carried out with DCVG and CIPS methods. Results indicate that the combined DCVG+CIPS measuring technology can be used for not only determining the location, size and severity and corrosion activity, but also eliminating the impact of soil IR reduction, which is capable of reflecting the real level of pipeline cathodic protection. This paper puts forward the adjustment plans for external anti-corrosion coating repair and cathodic protection, so as to provide a scientific basis to the maintenance,repair and monitoring of pipeline.
