Development of water film generator and analysis of flow field

  • As a mechanical fluid equipment, water film generator developed based on water film surface drag reduction technology for super heavy oil is used to form an annular water film on the inner surface of pipe, and the internal flow field of the annular water film should be kept stable, so as to form a stable water film. The paper observes that the designed water film generators should form a high-pressure jet flow into a water film after passing through 1 mm orifice, and the part of it is hole free, but it is in the rest part, so as to control the dynamic energy and speed of water flow, further to control the thickness of the water film. The selection of efficient seepage liner will depend on the stability of the water film surface, and in which, it is vital to confirm the holing ratio and holing diameter of the orifice. ANASYS software is adopted to analyze the intensity of water film generators in order to determine its stress concentration locations and strengthen them accordingly. The authors believe that the generators made with X52 pipe steel can meet the needs of running condition. Simulation with Fluent software is carried out on the internal flow field of water film generator to determine the appropriate length and holing diameter of water film generators and optimize its running parameters.
