Abstract
Currently contrasting, the tankfarm construction capacity in China for oil storage & transportation is lower that of overseas level. An investigation is launched towards the tankfarm construction for oil storage and transportation carried out in America, Japan, Holland, Germany, Singapore and France. Results show that these countries have their own characteristics in the tankfarm construction for oil storage and transportation based on the resources and regional environments of their own. By means of analysis and contrast, the authors summarize the successful experiences in the design, safety management and precautionary measurement of the tankfarm constructions. And the differences in technological key points put forward involve in the space allocation of floating-roof tank, the number of large-scale floating-roof tank within an individual fire bank, the configuration of extinguishment and auxiliary facilities, the formulation of overall safety measures and the implement of anti-accident regulations. These experiences can provide a guideline to the construction of similar tankfarm for oil storage and transportation in China.
