Design key points of oil pipeline EPCC project in Sudan 6th Block

The oil pipeline EPCC project in the 6th Block of Sudan bears the typical features of international EPCC projects. EPCC project design can be classified by concept design, basic design and detailed design. At the initial stage of project, the design items mainly include documentation of bidding, contract explanation, contract modification, standards and regulations confirmation, and design material collection. The requirement and categorization of required design files of EPCC project are described. The main items in the design andmanagement in technical coordination, department merging and communication with owner are summarized. Also, design progress control and cost control, the detailed work in different design steps is illustrated. In this paper, the main contents in field design service are described, and the completion scope and foundation for as-built documents are given.
