Application of horizontal pilot intersection technology in Ganjiang River Crossing project

  • Ganjiang River directional drilling crossing is one of key and bottleneck projects of Fengcheng-Yingtan Gas Pipeline. The project includes two crossings in riverbed and bottomland with large-diameter, long-distance and complicated crossing stratum and geology. In order to deal with the technical issues of river crossing under complicated geology conditions, drilling process parameters and slurry system parameters are computed, analyzed and researched deeply based on the existing experiences in directional drilling technology. Combined with two kinds of trenchless technologies, tamping bushing isolation pebble and the intersection of horizontal pilot holes, the crossing is realized successfully based on the respective characteristic of the two technologies.
