Single pipe pigging technology and its application feasibility in Daqing Oilfield

Abstract
Compared with the annular blending water and electric heating techniques for single pipe, single pipe pigging technique can lower the energy consumption in some extent. Based on mature single pipe pigging technique, single pipe pigging technique in severe cold area is developed. From the analysis of single well liquid production, oil temperature of wellhead, water content, wellhead back pressure and other parameters in one of blocks in Daqing Oilfield, the feasibility of this technique in Daqing Oilfield is verified. Pre-experiment conducted in Aogula Oilfield shows that if pigging period is well arranged, this technique can be applied to the high productivity well in severe cold area. Taking the Qijia Oilfield as an example, the feasibility of this technique in low productivity oilfield is verified by means of hydrodynamic calculation. The application of single pipe pigging technique has a certain guiding significance in further optimizing gathering/transferring process and energy saving/power consumption.
