Effect of the Thermometer Accuracy on Energy Consumption of Hot Oil Pipeline

  • Fuel oil and power consumption of long-distance oil pipeline covers more than 40% of the overall oil transportation costs, reducing energy consumption is a vital link in operation management, while oil transportation temperature is the important control parameter to realize safe and energy saving transportation of pipeline.Operation data in Qinhuangdao Oil Pump Station show that if thermometers exist error, effective control on energy consumption of pipeline transportation will be directly influenced.Resources of error for thermometers come from internal cause and external cause; the former was that inherent property of instrument changed, which can be solved by means of compensating within thermometer system and decreasing inherent error of thermometers; the latter was that installation method for primary instrument was not rational and that ambient temperature for secondary instrument was not suitable, which can be eliminated by effective measures.
