Application of Satellite Monitoring Technology in Preventing the Third Party Damage in Pipelines

  • Prevention and administration on the third party damage in pipelines have become the most concerned focused and difficult issues worldwide.Applied research on satellite monitoring technology in pipelines began in 1996 in the Occident, and significant development in optimization of pipeline route, CAD leak detection, analysis of pipeline network model, emergency response etc, has been made.Based on GPS and GPRS techniques, satellite routing inspection management system of pipelines realizes real-time transmission and monitoring of data, and then realizes the entire process dynamic management during the routing inspection.Capacity of satellite air inspection depends on its remote sensing and data transmission capacity and data analysis capacity, relying on the technicaI support in high-resolution opticaI imaging technic, radar technic, laser-measured height and infrared technique.Reliability of satellite routing inspection is similar to that of airplane, which can be used in preventing and administrating the third party damage in pipelines.
