Abstract
An apparatus to measure pipe wall temperature and soil temperature field at different locations along pipeline is developed in the light of the problems existed in operating condition, pipeline and thermal parameters of soil around pipeline being frequently changed in buried hot oil pipeline of Northeast Oil Pipeline networks.platinum resistor thermodetectors distributed in different positions are used to obtain temperatures at 43 positions in 5 directions of soil cross section with different pipe wall distances. The apparatus is adopted to measure the temperature distribution of different cross section pipe wall and soil along pipeline under the condition of normal operation, shut-down and startup, opening for overhaul, etc.for partial pipeline in the pipeline networks, and analysis is made referencing actual operating data.Result shows that this apparatus can accurately detect the temperatures of pipe wall and soil of pipe cross section, and can reflect the law of thermal variation of pipeline and soil around pipeline at different operating conditions, which provide technical support for safety operation of hot oil pipeline.
