lnfluence Law of Tunnel Grade on the Thrust of Pipeline Anchor

  • Theoretical analysis on the thrust of pipeline anchor at the portal of sloping tunnel is carried out based on energy method and analytic solution is obtained.With VC language, relative calculation procedure is programmed and integrated into PIPSOD software for design system of long-distance oil & gas pipeline project.Influence law of tunnel grade on the thrust of pipeline anchor is analyzed and it is seen that the thrust of anchor at the portal is all linearly decreased with the increase of grade.Precision verification is made on thrust calculation results by the energy method for X70 pipeline anchor located at Shibanling Tunnel in ChuanGas-to-East Project with five (4) sets of finite element analysis software ANSYS、AutoPIPE、ALGOR and CAESARII.Result shows that analytic solutions from the energy method is well fitted with that of finite element method, and the maximal relative error between them is only 4.5%, which can meet the needs of project design.
