Problems in Orifice Metering of Natural Gas

With the development of natural gas trade, higher precision in natural gas metering is required.Orifice metering is a commonly used metering method for flowrate.Principle and application situations of orifice metering method at home and abroad are introduced.Property and flowrate metering method of orifice metering method are summarized, issues in orifice metering method and the cause are analyzed, method and suggestion to increase gas metering precision of orifice metering method are presented.It is considered that the situation in which volume metering manner still dominating in gas metering field should be changed as soon as possible and energy metering manner should be used to meet with international convention.
