Test on Controlling Evaporation Loss of Fuel Oil with Fluoridizing Phase Transition Polymer Microsphere

  • Applied researchers of fuel oil have been more focusing on evaporation loss of fuel oil.Based On reducing energy consumption mechanism of fluoridizing phase transition polymer microsphere(FPTPMp), the polymer microsphere is designed as a surface covering layer of the fuel oil and fluoridizing treatment to the surface of the microsphere is made, which effectively increase surface energy and oleophobic property; effectiveness to control evaporation loss of the microsphere is further increased by means of filling phase transition material into the interior of the microsphere and temperature regulation.Experimental study shows that this technique can reduce 80% of evaporation loss rate of fuel oil.It is considered that this technique has advantages in low cost, good effectiveness in reducing evaporation loss, available for different tank shapes without reconstruction of tanks, with a wide application perspective.
