Energy Consumption Analysis on Eastern Oil Pipeline Network

Investigations on Eastern Oil Pipeline Networks in China show that problems in low efficiency in heaters, serious throttle in pumps, limited energy consumption data transmission, fire work and frequent internal inspection etc. are existed. Analysis on main energy consumption equipments and energy consumption data of the networks are made. Based on analysis results, measures in technical improvement are laid down, which includes installing variable frequency and speed adjustment generators, individual metering for equipment, specifying metering/checkout system and annual inspection system, integrating planning operations like internal inspection, fire work and pipe pigging, and decreasing fuel oil consumption of China-North Korea Oil Pipeline as well.
