Three kinds of calculation methods for tank volume of Long-distance oil product pipelines are analyzed, with different calculation methods pointing at different computing targets.By comparison, it is considered that contamination complete blending technique is the most economic method in determining tank volume of batch and quantity of oil products.Some factors ought to be taken into account in adopting calculation methods for tank volume are put forward and it is considered that when calculation method recommended by 《Design Code of Oil Pipeline Project》is adopted, transportation capacity of pipeline, situation of oil resource, marketing and management of tankfarm should be considered comprehensively.
