Evaporation Loss Calculation on Big and Small Breathing of Floating Roof Tanks and Restraining Measures

Evaporation loss formulas of floating roof tanks for big and small breathing used in American Petroleum Institute (API) and China Petroleum Chemical Corporation (CPCC) are introduced.By means of analysis and comparison to each parameter, it is pointed out that big breathing formulas of CPCC are more accorded with China's actuality and small breathing calculation of evaporation loss is according with impersonal conditions.Restraining measures on big and small breathing's evaporation loss are summarized by influencing factors of the formulas.
