Drag Loss of Hydrate Slurry Pipelining and Drag Reduction Technique

Abstract
Friction loss of hydrate slurry during pipelining is analyzed. Through model establishing, relationships between Fanning friction factor and critical Reynolds number, Hedstrom number are obtained.Drag reduction techniques suitable for hydrate slurrytransmission pipeline are presented, such as spiral flow, DRA—added, vibration, aerifying, fine particle, water injection, stirring, threadiness material and pipe section variation.These techniques can be used as references in hydraulic design of hydrate slurry transmission pipeline, equipment selection and operation management of pipeline.
