Hot-plugging Technology and its Application in Tankfarms

Development situation of hot-plugging technology in China is summarized. It is pointed out that application of hot-plugging technology has not been widely used in the pipeline of tankfarms. Technical characteristics and applicable scope for hot-plugging technology, hot-plugging adhesives-injection technology and hot-plugging welding technology are compared. Principle, operation process and issues for the new-type hot-plugging adhesives-injection technology are introduced emphatically. Application example shows that the technology is suitable for on-line plugging of the pipeline in tankfarms.
