Application of Regulating Valves in Simulating Operation Condition of Long-distance Pipelines

Hydrodynamic performance and working flow characteristics of regulating valves of long-distance pipeline are analyzed. The paper proposes a principle control method on simulating operation condition of a long-distance pipeline through a short pipeline section incorporated with the regulating valve, that is. simulation of operation condition is carried out by means of comparingtheory pressure difference and actual pressure difference between both ends of the regulating valve to determine the opening of the regulating valve, then regulating the opening of the regulating valve through control and actuating element to get simulated flowrate. and thus realize the above-mentioned operation condition finally. This method can be adopted in training of pipelineoperators and managers with high training level and low training costs.
