Experimental Study on Casing Steel Corrosion Induced by Produced Water in Gangxi Oilfield

  • Laboratory simulation assessment on casing steel corrosion induced by produced water with common casing steel material in Gangxi Oilfield is carried out. and influence of salinity, dissolved oxygen. pH value and temperature on corrosion rate is investigated.Resultsshow that under the same condition, corrosion rate of P110 steel is maximum. J55 steel is minimum; whensalinity of produced water is around 2.0×104~104 mg/L, corrosion rate arrives at the maximum; with the increase of bicarbonateion's concentration and chloridiorrs concentration, corrosion rate increases firstly and decreases afterwards; corrosion rate under sewage condition is 6 times higher than that of deoxygenization; with the increase of temperature and shear rate ofproduced water, corrosion rate will rise substantially.
