Factors Influencing on Formation of Natural Gas Hydrate

  • Experimental study on formation reaction of natural gas hydrate (NGH) is carried out in self-designed NGH formation test unit and influence of different formation factors on formation rate and gas rate of NGH is investigated. Experimental results show that the lower the reaction temperature, the faster the reaction velocity of NGH and the shorter the time needed for gas storage to arrive at the same level. When the concentration of SDS surfactant is at 300 mg/L, the reaction velocity of NGH is the fastest and gas storage volume is the largest meanwhile. Stirring can speed up the formation rate but can not increase gas storage level. Water history can quicken the formation rate to a certain degree, but it can not be substituted for the function of the surfactant.
