Heat Transfer Characteristics for Wax Deposit Layer of Hot Oil Pipeline

  • Temperature field of buried hot oil pipeline is simplified as two-dimensional unsteady state heat transfer issue to set up mathematical models for heat transfer characteristics in such three regions as oil, wax deposit layer and soil. Under simulation conditions, variation in soil temperature field and mean oil temperature with time for wax deposit layer are calculated during pipeline running and shut-down period at different layer thickness of wax deposit.
