Aseismic Design for Buried Pipeline Crossing Fault

  • An analysis model is constructed by using cylindrical shell element to simulate buried pipeline and nonlinear spring to simulate the interaction of pipe-soil system. The large deformation nonlinearized in a buried pipeline under fault movement is analyzed using finite element software ANSYS.Some influential factors on seismic responses of buried pipeline are studied, such as angles between pipeline and fault, buried depth of pipeline, diameter of pipeline, ratio of diameter to thickness of pipeline, style of soil and pipe materials.which provides an important base in buried pipeline's aseismic research and design.
