Theoretical Analysis and Practice of Energy Saving for Pumping Stations

Theoretical foundation on reducing energy loss of master transformer and wattlessly offsetting with power capacitor in pumping station is analyzed.Taking Lanshan Pumping Station as an example, energy saving measures are presented according to operation condition of energy consumption equipments in the pumping station.It is pointed out that one or two master transformers may be put into operation based on electricity consumption load, pumps are run on a rational basis and valves are properly switched in order to reduce pressure drop and power loss induced by throttling within the station.
