Improved Film Once-forming Process for Internal & External Fusion Bonded Epoxy Powder on Steel Pipes

  • Aiming at the defects existed in the process of internal & external fusion bonded epoxy powder(FBE) on steel pipes, an improved new film forming process is proposed. The paper introduces FBE applying process for internal & external pipes, analyzes the feasibility in film forming process from applying velocity of powder, filming thickness and heating method and presents a new technological process. The process can eliminate the damage to the formed FBE film on steel pipes resulting from the process of"inner applying before outer applying"or"outer applying before inner applying", also elongate service life of the coating and decrease corrosion and damage probability.
