  • The paper describes the necessity of new valves'pre-maintain before operation, introduces preliminary preparation and maintenance steps for the new valves before operation. Valve maintenance is divided into three parts, that is, (1)valve maintenance before installation and welding; (2)inspection and maintenance during pressure testing and(3)maintenance and repair for "problem" valve before putting into operation. Requirements for valve installation and welding are presented.
