Abstract
Large-scale flow loop experiment is carried out to measure temperature field varieties of crude oil in buried hot oil pipeline and that of soil around the pipeline under field-scale operating conditions after its shutdown. Quantitative effects of operation conditions and ground temperature on crude oil temperature drops before the pipeline shutdown are analyzed. Experimental data obtained can be used as a significant basis for verification and modification of the calculation model of temperature drops in the shutdown of buried hot oil pipelines.
