Application of Improved Genetic Algorithm in Optimal Operation of Long-distance Natural Gas Pipelines

  • Aiming at the issues existed in conventional genetic algorithm (GA) widely used in operation optimization of natural gas pipelines, improvement is made combined with operational charaeteristics of the pipelines. Optimized calculation with the improved GA is carried out to actual gas pipeline and results show that the improved GA is better than dynamic programming method and conventional genetic algorithm, which demonstrates a practical value in the process of operational optimization of long distance gas pipelines.
