Abstract
Hazards of surface corrosion to gathering pipelines induced by CO2-contained natural gas are analyzed. Results show that partial pressure, temperature and flowrate of gas are major factors on the pipelines' CO2 corrosion. Through design study and field application, optimal selection methods for the pipes of gathering pipelines in sour gas field and protective measures to control CO2 corrosion are provided initially.
