Research Actuality of Pipelines with Dents

Based on classification of pipelines with dents, the paper reviews research actuality of burst strength and fatigue strength of various dents, discusses research results of mechanism and calculation method of rerounding about dents and relationship between external load and depth of dents. At the same time, the paper makes suggestions that further research should be conducted on mechanical behavior, formation mechanism and evaluation method of the pipelines with dents.
