Issues in Design of China's Oil Product Pipeline Engineering

For the issues in design of China's oil product pipeline engineering, the author proposes that an important conception has to be followed up during feasibility study and design processes.And oil product pipelines should be constructed to be an important constitution for managing oil products market, becoming the "crosswise engineering" and transportation-sale pipeline so as to extend the scope of transporting function of oil product pipelines.Based on the characteristics of transportation technology of oil products and the property of contaminated oil, an approach to solving these issues is discussed from the viewpoint of process design and contaminated oil design, and meanwhile valuable recommendations to draw up optimizing scenario of process system and design criterion for oil product pipelines are provided in the paper.
