Viscosity Reduction Test of Viscosity Reducer-doped Water-soluble Emulsion

  • Based on the issue that viscosity reduction technology for ultra-heavy oil with heating technique willresult in higher energy loss, a test of viscosity reduction technology by blending active water performed inZhang Yikuai ultra-heavy oil in Liaohe Oilfield is carried out.Resultsshow that after 0.0125%of the LJ-2emulsion is added into a heavy oil with 30%water content and formulated with LH-XIV compound, and thehigh water heavy oil is treated with static mixer and pump shear, the O/W emulsion is formed, which isrelatively stable and suitable for pipelining when the shear rate is over 20 1/s.It is considered that thetechnologyof blending active water can reduce fuel cost in oil production and decrease energy consumptiongreatly.
