Analysis on Inner Surface Corrosion of Roof of Heavy Oil Tank and Anticorrosive Countermeasures

Discussions on the inner surface corrosion of roof of heavy oil tanks are taken. Chemical analysis and wave spectrum analysis on corrosion products are carried out.Resultsshow that the presence of evaporated water on the inner surface of roof is a major cause of corrosion. The impact of H₂O, O₂, SO₂ and H₂S on the origin of corrosion and its development is also expounded and anticorrosive countermeasures are presented.
