Study on the Application of DRA in Oil Product Pipelines

On the basis of drag reduction mechanism of DRA, laboratory experiment and field application, three necessary conditions such as application effect of DRA, pipeline flow pattern and the compound of DRA are determined. The paper provides the method to increase drag reduction rate or throughput, analyzes the influence factors of DRA on the quality of oil products and puts forward precautions to be attended for realizing throughput increase and non-boosting operation.
