Principle for Predicting the Flow Increase Rate of an Oil Pipeline with Drag Reducer

  • Based on drag reduction mechanism of drag reducer in pipelining fluid, an analysis and research are carried out on the molecular structure, mole mass and dosage which are the factors effecting on the flow increase results of drag reducer, and axial friction stress near the pipe wall and pulsating intensity of the fluid, thickness of the liquid layer with directional molecule of drag reducer as well.If there are the same or similar effect factors in two pipelines, the same or similar flow increase rate will be obtained. When predict the flow increase rate of industrial pipeline taking use of interior simulating loop, the magnitude and distribution of axial friction stress need to be regulated depending on the situation.
