Influence of Pigging on Stable Operation of Crude Oil Pipelines with Low Throughput

  • A pigging model is established in the light of the stress state of pig in waxy crude oil pipeline. On the basis of Runge-Kutta numeric calculation and VC++ program, the running law of pig in waxy crude oil pipeline is found-The influence of pigging on pipeline operation at low throughput is analyzed according to variation curves of pipeline operation parameters when conducting pigging. Relative safety measures in pigging are put forward, which can be taken as theory reference for pigging of pipeline with low throughput.
