Advances in Research on Models of Stratification and Rollover Phenomenon of Liquefied Natural Gas

Several serious accidents of LNG rollover which happened over the world are described in the paper. Several typical theoretical models and some experimental study, as well as the research achievements are introduced, and the strongpoint and shortage of individual models are analyzed. In the light of potential dangerous consequence due to stratification and rollover of LNG, related theory and study direction to protect the stratification and rollover of LNG during its storage and transportation are presented.
