Study on Correlative Influence of Wax Thickness and Overall Heat Transfer Coefficient of SoiI

  • A study on the correlative influence of wax thickness and overall heat transfer coefficient of soil is carried out in the light of low throughput operation of TieDa Oil Pipeline. The correlations on the economic wax thickness under the condition of low throughput operation and the correlations about wax thickness and overall heat transfer coefficient of soil are given and the overall heat transfer coefficient of pumping stations and minimum safety throughput of the pipeline are determined and the accuracy of thermal calculation under the condition of heating and/or PPD treatment for the pipeline is improved, which economizes the cost for the thermal system's alternation of TieDa Oil Pipeline.
