Abstract
An experiment for heat transfer in a natural gas adsorption bed under adiabatic condition is made. The distribution and change of temperature in an adsorption bed is measured during the adsorption process. Results of the experimentation show that the temperature in the adsorption bed will increases with the charging of natural gas and the temperature will achieve to about 75℃, and the temperature distribution will be very inhomogeneous and temperature difference is about 30℃. It is found out that seepage flow in the adsorption bed has an obvious effect on the temperature of the adsorption bed. Therefore, heat transfer and mass transfer enhancement is required for the purpose of controlling the temperature of the adsorption bed.
