Optimization of Offtake's Location for Oil Product Pipeline

Optimization of the offtake's location plays an important role in the layout and design of oil product pipeline and the location which is proper or not directly influences the total investment of the offtake over the trunkline.According to the literature1attached to the article, the paper discusses the setting-up of the offtake between two stations over the product trunkline.With Particle Swarm Optimization, the best location for building up the offtake is obtained.It is considered that the solution can make the optimal scope of pipeline network larger and further improve optimization benefit.
