Practice in Setting up SCADA System in Long Distance Oil and Gas Pipelines

The constitution and characteristics of SCADA system is described in the paper. The author considers that design management, supervision management system, invitation for and/or submission of tender management system, quality management system, HSE management system, auditing/supervision management system and investment control management system are the important chains to be set up in the construction and management of SCADA system over long distance oil/gas pipelines. This paper introduces the implement procedure of SCADA system in the construction of long distance pipelines, its joint control and application in pipelines and equipments, points out the problems to be focused on in the construction of long distance pipelines.
