Evaluation on the Performance of Negative Pressure Wave-based Leakage Detection and Location System

  • Based on a great deal of simulation data and field applications, main performance indexes of leakage detection system for long distance pipelines are deeply studied in the paper. The authors make analysis on detection sensitivity, location precision, capability of rejecting disturbance and responding time of the system according to the simulations and experiments, point out influence factors on performance indexes and define the performance index for the real leak detection and location system from the viewpoint of application.
