The Determination Method on Buried Depth of Pipelines in Country Road Crossing

Stress analysis on road bed under vehicle loads is carried out and the conception that the superjacentlay soil should be thicker than the depth of road bed when pipelines cross the country road is presented in the paper.The additional stresses produced by different loads of vehicles are analyzed and calculated.The authors suggest that the thickness of superjacentlay soil of pipe top should be increased for the pipelines in country road crossing.
