Advances in Crude Viscosity Reduction by Magnetical Field

  • Advances in the crude viscosity reduced by magnetic field treatment are reviewed domestically and internationally.The mechanism of crude viscosity reduction is summarized and discussed.Wax crystal aggregate under the magnetic field can increase the polydispersity in suspension.Using the theory of suspension rheoloy.polydipersity can favor flow ability of suspension than monodipersity.Another interpretation is the particle array in order by magnetic treatment, so to decrease the friction in flow.However, the effect of viscosity reduced by magnetic treatment can just maintain 2 to 4 hours.It can be applied in crude pipeline of short distance.
