Improvement on the Layout of Pipeline Block Valve for Gas Transmission Pipeline

  • The paper considers that in the design of gas transmission pipeline, if block valves are laid out according to area classification and then to increase "bank block valves" on both sides of rivers, the quantity of block valves will be greatly increased. Through analyzing the function of the block valve, proper and rational layout program of block valve is presented and thus cuts down the quantity of block valves. The layout program is successfully applied in Guangdong LNG project.
