Abstract
This article covers many kinds of mesh densification methods to divide grid regions of buried pipelines. 5 kinds of mesh division plans have been designed and analysis has been conducted on the region's conservation of energy. Value simulation results show that in thermal transfer calculation of buried pipelines, the error in calculating is smaller for adopting local mesh densification in both pipeline boundary and ground boundary simultaneously than that only adopting densification for each of the two kinds. After adopting local mesh densification in both pipeline boundary and ground boundary simultaneously, properly reducing the interior region grid will be helpful for enhancing calculation efficiency, thus miscounts are reduced.
