Drag Reduction and Throughput Increase of Oil/Gas Pipeline and the Application of High Polymer

  • On the basis of drag reduction and throughput increase mechanism, the effectiveness and applicable conditions of drag reduction and throughput increase technologies are analyzed and studied. Some new drag reduction and throughput increase techniques (transportation process) are presented, which are divided into four classifications including viscosity reduction to increase oil throughput, suppressing radial pulsation to increase oil throughput, modifying wall-surface to increase oil throughput and decrease wall-surface's deposit to increase oil throughput. To apply the high polymer to natural gas pipeline, feasible techniques are put forward based on the principle of ultra-high molecular weight polymer.
