Solidification-failure Risk Analysis on the Waxy and High Viscosity Oil Pipeline

  • By means of fault tree analysis method, this paper analyzes various reasons resulting in solidification-failure of waxy and high viscosity pipelines and quantitatively calculates failure probability and economic loses from the solidification-failure of pipelines as well. Authors consider that utilizing the risk analysis result of fault tree can effectively ensure safe operation of oil pipeline, meanwhile, provide a scientific foundation for evaluating the maintenance and safety of oil pipelines.
