The Construction of Salt Cavern Gas Storage and Sonar Measuring Technique
Utilizing the sonar measuring technique to measure and evaluate the shape and volume of salt cavern gas storage's cavity under construction is an effective method. This paper introduces the function, basic principle and structure of sonar from SOCON, Germany. This kind of sonar is used in construction of Jintan Salt Cavern Gas Storage, Jiangsu Province, China.
